Literally anything under the sun and moon, if you want it, we can achieve it!
Best question EVER! Yes and No. Honestly, I am a life coach and I have a life coach, why? Because no matter how much I study, and understand about limiting beliefs, values, self reflection, goal setting and more. Looking at your life from your perspective is personal, and your emotions come to play. When you have a coach they ask those silly questions you don't ask yourself because for you its status quo.
If I could put it into terms gen z and millennials (hopefully you oldies) understand:
Looking at your life through your own eyes, is like putting a filter on a video, while having a coach makes you see the video with no filter.
Filters include: unhealthy boundaries, weird relationships, terrible work life balance, "that's just the way it is, deal with it" mentality as well as really really toxic negative self talk (I cant do it, I am not special, what makes me different?).
So yes you can totally live your life on your own and organize it the way you want to. You are already doing that.. its the status quo. But no if you want to challenge the status quo and get more out of life. Why settle for status quo when you can reach heights you have never even given your chance to imagine?
The best part of coaching, is the tools and knowledge you gain to then coach yourself. This isn't a sacred secret art form, coaching is a way of shifting mindset, and when you have shifted your mindset, you gain the tools and the ability to coach yourself.
There are SO many benefits to having a life coach I can literally list 100, but I literally cant type forever, so here are the top 20. If you ever want the 100, find me and I promise to list them to you face to face!
1. Reduces procrastination
2. Encourages setting healthy boundaries
3. Improves life skills and behaviors
4. Organizes your day to day
5. Enhanced work-life balance
6. Gives you direction
7. Better decision making
8. Allows you to explore new options and ideas in a safe space
9. Challenges you to do MORE
10. Improved interpersonal skills
11. Clarity, commitment and visioning your success
12. Gives you new perspective on your life (lets remove toxic-ness!)
13. Self-reflection is KEY
14. Supports your journey and is your life vest when you feel like your drowning
15. Strategies and goals defined to suit your needs and modified where needed.
16. Accountability to keep your promise to yourself
17. Commitment to your personal journey of success
18. Consistency to keep you going, no more maybe another day thinking, today is the DAY
19. Increased confidence
20. Enhanced self-awareness
I really could go on and on.. okay 5 more
21. Experience greater satisfaction in life
22. Allows you to achieve goals
23. Helps you prioritize your life, to remove that feeling of overwhelmingness.
24. Helps you do things you thought were not possible!
and my absolute favorite..
25. Gives you OWNERSHIP of your success, coaching allows you to be the driver, to be the one in charge, we love you to be independent and make your OWN decisions. We like a loving parent guide you through questions, but when all is said and done, YOU achieved that goal. YOU made it possible. So that feeling of accomplishment, that's all for you.
Having a life coach is literally like having a map on a road trip. You can still get to your destination without a map, but having a map makes the trip easier, much shorter and also allow you to enjoy the ride, instead of wondering how far you still are from the destination. You see the benefits of the map when you reach your destination, but also see it when you make pit stops and enjoy stops you didn't know you were going to make but are very happy you decided to make them.
A mentor or expert, will tell you how they did it, and how they succeeded and teach you their ways.
**Directive: Mentor will do all of the talking and client all of the listening
A life coach helps you create an action plan tailored to your strengths values and way of thinking, through raising your awareness and helping you reflect on personal situations.
**Non-directive: Coaches go with the 20/80 rule (you talk 80 and we talk 20) coaches give the space for their clients to reflect and talk.

Mentoring:
• Mentoring is often longer-term with some mentoring relationships lasting 6+ months and in several cases mentoring can last years or even decades. In fact, some famous mentors and mentees cite lifelong mentoring relationships.
• No qualifications are required for mentoring.
• The mentor shares their knowledge, experience and skills, telling the mentee and guiding them through direction.
• Mentoring is less structured than coaching
• Mentoring is mainly development driven and looks to the mentee to decide what they wish to achieve and which goals they have for their mentoring relationships.
Coaching:
• Coaching is often shorter-term and may be as short as a quick 10- or 15-minute conversation.
• There is training in coaching skills and a lot of coaching qualifications are available, and necessary to be a truly effective coach.
• Coaching is non-directive which means that it is about posing the right questions, providing the space, trust and confidence for the individual being coached to consider how they can achieve more, reach their objectives and find capabilities within themselves.
• Coaching is structured
• Coaching is performance driven and encourages the individual or individuals being coached to perform in their day-to-day roles.
Both focus on wellbeing, but therapy is for mental wellbeing and processing past traumas and mental health. While coaching focuses on performance and day to day improvements, as well as goals.
You need a therapist if:
• You experience mental health symptoms that cause distress in your life
• anxiety, depression, D.E
• You want to heal from past trauma
• You need help understanding your emotions and actions
• You are experiencing relationship issues
You need a life coach if:
• You want to get your life moving
• You want to achieve goals you have
• You want to be promoted or move on to the next best thing
• You want to understand what holds you back
• You want to create a plan of action to get stuff done
• You feel like your life is on autopilot and you know you deserve MORE
• You want to break out of your comfort zone
• You feel like something is missing
• You want to create healthy habits
• You want to improve your life
• You want to stop that negative talk and live your best life!
• You desire a life with purpose and meaning but do not know where to start.
• You feel confused about the next chapter in your life (i.e. struggling with career decisions, major life choices) and would like guidance on what would best serve you.
• You want to tap your inner motivation for a major goal, such as running a marathon.
• You want to hold yourself more accountable, whether in your personal or professional life
Nope, a good life coach will NEVER give you advice, the day they give you advice is the day they own your life.
Why not?
The most important thing in life coaching is ownership. You owning the decisions you make in your life. Anyone who gives you advice takes away the beauty of feeling success in your own decision making capabilities. If you have ever had a life coach who gave you advice, then you have not experienced real coaching. The way you think and the experiences in your life are personal and unique to you, the way you handle situations correctly and effectively is just as unique and personal.
