Updated: Jun 6, 2023

Hola beauty, are you feeling like you have all the resources in the world but no idea what to do with them? I am looking at you trust fund baby, don't deny it. Baba and Mama got you covered (in Dior no less, but I digress)

Trust fund baby, Arab girl with all the money in the world

Don't feel bad about it, you're not alone! Go to any mall at work hours, and you will find all the cute butterflies, flitting about not sure what to buy and ignoring, life's possibilities.

Okay, I am being a bit mean, but can you blame me?

We as a region have sooo many resources, yet I don't see many of our names as the next big thing, and I always ask myself why?

Is it because we were taught we could get whatever we wanted if we just asked our parents? Is it because we are so sheltered and cared for we don't want to achieve the more?

I am here to be one of the first to tell you MOVE IT BUDDY YOU HAVE SOO MUCH TO GIVE, THE OPPORTUNITIES ARE ENDLESS, THE REWARDS SKY HIGH AND YOUR RESOURCES (alooo daddy dizlee floosuQuh - Dhoha Al Issa tiktok). So lets get to it.

It's easy to feel overwhelmed when you have so many options and possibilities, but the key is to prioritize.

First things first, take a step back and figure out what really matters to you. What do you want to achieve in life? What makes you happy and fulfilled? Once you have a clear idea of your goals and values, it's time to start prioritizing.

One great way to do this is to create a vision board. This can be a physical board or a digital one, where you can add images and words that represent your goals and aspirations. Having a visual reminder of what you're working towards can be a great motivator and help you stay focused on what's important.

Next, start breaking down your goals into smaller, actionable steps. This will make them feel less overwhelming and help you stay motivated. You can also try creating a daily or weekly to-do list, so you know exactly what needs to be done and can prioritize accordingly.

Next, commit to those actions. No more "I will do it next week" or "inshallah later" mentality. It's time to take action and hold yourself accountable. Make a plan and stick to it. Set a deadline for each task and hold yourself accountable for completing them on time. If you are not the accountable type, tell all your friends what you are doing, and trust me you will be held accountable. Use that "fashla" to your advantage. Remember, taking action requires discipline and commitment, but the rewards are worth it. By committing to yourself and your goals, you will achieve whatever you have in mind in no time.

Another important thing to remember is to say no to things that aren't aligned with your goals and values. It's easy to get sidetracked by other people's expectations or by shiny new opportunities, but if they're not helping you achieve what you really want in life, it's okay to say no. Please don't get sidetracked, focus on you booboo.

Finally, don't forget to celebrate your successes along the way! Whether it's a small win or a big achievement, taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate your progress can help keep you motivated and focused on your priorities. (Also makes wonderful excuses for cute dinners, and fun get aways)

So there you have it - some fun and helpful tips on how to prioritize when you have all the resources but lack direction and motivation. Remember, it's all about figuring out what matters to you and taking small steps towards your goals. You got this!
